Hi everyone!

It’s day 2 of the Digital Dozen does Rainforests and today I have one of my favourite looks of the week to share with you (although my absolute favourite is still coming up on Friday!). I’ve combined some stamping and freehand to create a pretty butterfly nail art.

Painted Fingertips | Butterfly nails - the Digital Dozen does RainforestsCan’t you just imagine that colourful little butterfly, flitting from flower to flower throughout the rainforest?

Painted Fingertips | Butterfly nails - the Digital Dozen does RainforestsTo create this look, I started off by making the lightly mottled base. I started off with a white base using Sinful Colors Snow Me White, then used plastic wrap to dab on the base using Zoya Darcy, Fair Maiden Scar, Elevation Walk a Little Farther, and Darling Diva The Screamer. I used light colours so that I’d just get a pale mottled look, like the sun shining through the forest foliage. On each nail except my middle one, I stamped using Born Pretty Store green stamping polish and an image from plate BPX-L018.

It made it more manageable to complete this look since just one nail was freehand, and the stamped leaves complemented the butterfly perfectly.

What do you think of this look?
