It’s Water Marble Wednesday! I missed last Wednesday because I was out of town at a conference and just couldn’t find the time to write up a post, but I’m back with a gloriously dark marble. A few weeks ago I decided to test out a few of my Supermoon polishes in a marble, and was pleasantly surprised to discover that they marbled perfectly. After that, when I recently purchased a few new Supermoons, a marble was the first thing I tried! Again, they worked to perfection!
I marbled using Supermoon Alpha Lupi and Gamma Lupi. These are part of a limited edition collection. They will be available again, but are not a part of the core line – make sure to join the Facebook group to get info on when you’ll be able to get these if you want them.
These two polishes spread across the water so beautifully, I even took a picture in the water:
Can you believe what a perfect marble that is? Because I was able to get such a perfect pattern on both sides, I decided to try making water marble decals for this marble. Basically, you leave the polish on the water until it is completely dry and then carefully remove the whole sheet. Cut out the piece you want, apply it to a tacky nail, and clean up the edges. The advantage of this method is that you don’t have to create a new pattern for each nail, so you don’t waste as much polish. In the end, though, I probably used just as much polish because of how many decals I messed up! I still have a hard time with decals and I always manage to wrinkle or tear them. For now, just dipping my nail is still easier; but with practice making decals can also help you to get the perfect placement.
Do you plan on getting any from this gorgeous collection?
