Love Letters – The Digital Dozen Does Paper

Hi everyone!

It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen does Paper! One thing that we use paper for… is to write letters! Honestly, in this day and age, writing a letter on paper has become far less common. We can just send an email or a text message. But who among us didn’t make a pretty Valentine’s day card in our primary school years? (even if it was for your parents or sibling!) With that in mind, love letters are the theme of today’s nail art.

Painted Fingertips | Love letter nails - the Digital Dozen does PaperTo get this look, I started off with a base of Sinful Colors Snow Me White and topped it with a couple of coats of Sinful Colors Glass Pink. Glass pink is very sheer, actually a bit too sheer for what I wanted here because you can barely see any pink on my nails. I then stamped each nail using my Essence white stampy polish and a rose image from plate BPX-L014.This is where I wish the pink had been a little pinker, because you can’t really see the roses. That’s okay though, they were meant to be subtle – think fancy notebook paper which you are using to write this Very Important love letter.

I then stamped different lovey-dovey text images from plate BPX-L014 and plate BP-X08 using black stamping polish and red stamping polish from Born Pretty Store.

You can kind of see the rosey background on the macro!

And, now for a little story. It was incredibly hot and humid on the day I did these nails and it must have gotten to my head. I went to take pictures of the nail art, then removed it to get started on tomorrow’s look. A couple of hours later I went to download the pictures from my camera and found that these were the only ones I took! I completely forgot to do my other usual hand poses. So, that’s all you’re getting today!
