The Digital Dozen Does Continents: Kangaroos for Australia

Hi everyone!

It’s Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is continents and the idea is to do a different continent each day. For the first day, I’ve gone with a continent I’ve never visited: Australia.

Painted Fingertips | The Digital Dozen Does Continents - Australia - KangaroosI went with one of the most iconic things about Australia, its kangaroos! I decided on a colour scheme reminiscent of a sunset with added kangaroo silhouettes.

Using a matte top coat to allow my acrylics to stay in place better, I decided to use white acrylic paint to create an abstract sort of cloudy, hazy look. I watered the paint down then dropped a bit onto a nail before using a paper towel to soak up the excess water, resulting in wispy white patches. Finally, the thing that makes this manicure represent Australia! I used black acrylic paint to paint the kangaroo silhouettes.
