Hi everyone!

I’m back to finish off the week with one more Born Pretty Store product review. This time it is for a stamping plate that is perfect for Autumn – plate BP-156. This is a small round plate with 4 different leafy designs. I have actually used this same plate for the Fall look I shared with you earlier this week. Today I have manicures using 2 more of the designs on the plate – so there is just one more gorgeous leafy pattern on the plate that I haven’t tried yet.

Painted Fingertips | Purple leaf stampingThe look I shared earlier this week featured a pretty traditional autumn dark green base and green-golden leaves, so I felt like going with non-autumny colour combinations for the 2 looks I am sharing today. For the first one, I started with a base of Sinful Colors Black on Black. I then stamped using plate BP-156 and my purple Born Pretty Store stamping polish (#8).

Painted Fingertips | Purple leaf stampingOn my ring finger, I decided to create an accent by doing some powder pigment stamping using my purple Born Pretty Store multichrome powder. I’ve been seeing this technique going around Facebook stamping groups recently – you just brush the pigment onto your stamper, then pick up the image using stamping polish (I used black), and when you transfer the stamp onto your nail, the pigment adheres. This was my first time trying the technique and while it has a gorgeous result, the stamping is not quite as crisp as stamping with just polish. It did hold up surprisingly well, though – I didn’t add a top coat over the multichrome powder and I only took these pictures the following day!

Painted Fingertips | Purple leaf stamping - macroThe stamping plate itself was great quality and easy to use – I didn’t have trouble with picking up or transferring any of the images.

Painted Fingertips | Purple leaf stampingI also decided to show you some stamping decals I made using this plate.

Painted Fingertips | Neon leaf stamping decalsI was inspired by this fun leafy look Lothwen of Manis & Makeovers recently shared. Although I used a different stamping image, I really liked her idea of using neons for the leaves rather than ‘fall’ colours.

Painted Fingertips | Neon leaf stamping decalsOn my index and middle fingers, I painted Sinful Colors Black on Black and added a matte top coat. For the other nails, I used plate BP-156 and filled in the leaves using Sweet & Sour Lacquer Oh, Homie, Hey-Diddly-Ho!, (pacifier suck), Mmm… Donuts, Ay Caramba!, and I’ll Be In My Room.

Painted Fingertips | Neon leaf stamping decals - macroLooks like I managed to get a gold smear on my decal from some other polish, but aren’t those leaves cute!

Painted Fingertips | Neon leaf stamping decalsOverall… I love this plate! It is perfect for the autumn. If you’d like to try it, it’s available here.

Which of these two looks did you like best?
