Review: Green-Purple Chameleon Nail Flakies from Beauty Big Bang

Hi everyone!

I have some fun chameleon nail flakies to share with you! I’ve shared a couple of posts about products from Beauty Big Bang already, mostly loose nail flakies or pigments, and I’m back with another fun flakie combo from them.

Painted Fingertips | Chameleon multichrome flakies from Beauty Big BangThe very first thing I need to tell you about these flakies is that they look nothing like the pictures on the site. And now that that’s out of the way, I can tell you the good things about them! I really liked the effect these gave, but, they are more a mix of green-purple multichrome flakes than the holo purple you see on the site (I picked colour #2). I am sure that I could get a look closer to that shown on the site by rubbing and buffing these more on the nail, but I still don’t think it’d get all the way there and I honestly like them better like this! I did do more of a dabbing motion when applying these because I really wanted to preserve the cool look of the different coloured flakies.

I applied a second coat of Yellow Stopper and a second coat of flakes, and no top coat (I still haven’t purchased a water-based top coat to use to preserve the finish of flakies like these!). As I mentioned, I went with more of a dabbing motion when applying the flakies because I really wanted to preserve the look of the full large flakes; by rubbing more you would break them up more and get a smoother look.

Painted Fingertips | Chameleon multichrome flakies from Beauty Big BangOverall, I’m a big fan of these but I think it’s very important to note that they don’t look like the pictures shown on the site. Hopefully Beauty Big Bang will work on showing more accurate pictures in the future.
