I have shared a few products from Beauty Bigbang with you recently, including a few different loose nail powders – chrome, holographic or flakies. Most recently I showed you this gorgeous holo flakie powder. Today, I have a fine holographic powder that gives a beautiful linear holographic effect to share with you.
As you can see, the holo powder has a gorgeous deep silver shade and the holographic effect is very strong. However, I did end up with a little of the black polish sticking out near my cuticles which looks a little odd. I should have been more careful to avoid that – leaving a bigger gap near my cuticle with this black polish could have worked. As you can see, the holographic effect really is strong and gorgeous! With some of the flakie powders, I have had success using Yellow Stopper as a base to stick the powder to. While this works with this powder as well, I found it difficult to get a good, even finish. My bottle of Yellow Stopper is getting old and that may be why – I would end up with slightly uneven surfaces; the powder also didn’t stick as well to the Yellow Stopper and I found I would need about 3 layers to get a look I liked. So, I decided to use gel instead with this powder.
Since the black base left that annoying black rim, I decided to try it with a white base as well. As you can see, while there is a little white peeking out, it isn’t nearly as jarring as the black was. A silver base would probably be even better.
