As you may have gathered from the post title, I have two nail art looks to share with you today using a gorgeous blue holo stamping polish from Born Pretty Store. I am definitely going to be needing some more holographic stamping polishes in my life! There are 4 more colours available in the same grouping from Born Pretty Store, and I’d like to try them all if they all stamp as well as this one!
The first thing I wanted to try with this holo stamping polish was some tone-on-tone stamping: let the holographic finish make it stand out from a blue creme base. I decided to go for a darker blue so that you could also see how well it shows up over a darker base.
As you can see, it stamps beautifully! The details of the image have come out well and I really like the little bits of holographic effect you can see.
To get this look, I started off with a base of Zoya Natty. I then stamped using the blue holo stamping polish and a snowflake image from plate Celebration BPX-L008.
I think this might just be my favourite way to use this holo stamping polish – over a darker blue base. The effect is gorgeous!
I wanted to also try this stamping polish over a different coloured base, so I decided to go with pink!
I thought it was interesting that, while the stamping shows up clearly, it didn’t look as vibrant and vivid as it did over the darker base. I think this stamping polish might be at its best over dark base colours.
This is still a great effect, though! Pink and blue are always lovely together.
What do you think of these two nail art looks?
