It’s day 2 of The Digital Dozen does All that Glitters! Yesterday, I shared a glittering crystal nail art look. Today I have a sparkly, glittery drip marble to share with you.
Honestly, this was my least favourite look for the week. Hey, there are 5 looks, and one of them has to be it! I was chatting with Sarah of 25 Sweetpeas about drip marbles, and she wondered if it would be possible to do one with glitter polishes. I thought ‘why not?’, and decided to give it a try. I certainly proved that it is possible to do a glittery drip marble, but it just didn’t work out nearly as nicely as most of my recent drip marbles. I think part of the problem was that glitter polishes tend to be thicker, so they didn’t flow as nicely. Either way, it’s sparkly, it’s glittery, and it’s definitely a part of ‘all that glitters’!
To get this look, I used Fancy Gloss Sky Pixie and Emerald Pixie, Different Dimension Cosmic Ray, and Polish ‘M Cheer. If you’re not sure how drip marbles work, don’t worry! I have a tutorial coming soon 🙂
I did really like how my ring finger came out! My pinkie and thumb weren’t bad either; so it was really just my index and middle fingers that ended up a little blobby. I guess I could have just made another drip marble decal, but I decided to stick with what I had.
It’s still pretty, not bad at all for my least favourite of the week, I think! I think it would have worked really well with some white stamping on top, no idea why I didn’t try that.
Don’t forget to take a look at the nail art done by the rest of the Digital Dozen members today!
