It’s day 4 of The Digital Dozen does All that Glitters! So far this week, I’ve shared some glittering crystals, a glittery drip marble, and some extreme glitter-dipped fingers. Today, I decided to keep it simple with a good old glitter gradient.
I don’t find myself using glitter toppers all that often, so I actually don’t have that many. I searched through the ones I did have to find a fun one for this look. When I saw this one, I decided it was perfect – squares, bars, circles, and holo? Everything you need for a magical glitter gradient!
To get this look, I started with a base of Elevation Walk a Little Farther, and then used Girly Bits Smurf Dance for the glitter gradient. I just painted the glitter on in several coats, concentrating more at the base of my nails. I did have to fish a bit to get the larger glitter pieces, but I was very happy with the look I ended up with. I got Smurf Dance quite a while ago in a mystery pack from another blogger’s destash, and I can’t believe I didn’t use it until now. It’s such a fun combination of glitters, and I really like the blue, white, and silver mix.
I wind up loving glitter gradients every time I do them! Perhaps I need some more glitter toppers in my collection.
Can you believe we’re almost finished with this theme? This week has flown by! Take a look at some more glittery nail art looks at these links:
