I can’t believe it’s already Monday! This weekend went by far too fast. There’s just not enough time to get everything done! I hope that you enjoyed my drip marble theme week last week, I had a lot of fun with it and now we are back to regular programming.
At least I can brighten this Monday a little with some swatches of a gorgeous polish. Today I am sharing my pictures of Fair Maiden Cosmic Confection, which is their contribution for February’s Polish Pickup. Polish Pickup has exploded onto the indie scene over the past few months with its creative way of offering polish and other products from a huge variety of makers, all in one store. Each month, makers create a polish inspired by a theme voted on by the group members. February’s theme is Sugar Rush. There are a lot of polishes available, so if you’re interested in seeing more, I recommend joining the Facebook Group!
Cosmic Confection is described as a striking blue with a chromatic flame shifting from dark purple to teal, finished with various sizes of scattered holo pigment. To me, I saw a gorgeous teal as the main colour, with strong shifts to a blue-toned purple. It is packed with both small holo glitters and a finer scattered holo pigment.
My swatches show 2 coats of Cosmic Confection with top coat. The formula on this polish was great and as you can see, it looks perfect in 2 coats. In these images, you can see both the bright teal that dominates, and the blue-purple shift. I’m a big fan of the little holo glitters – they add so much to this polish!
This was the inspiration picture used to create this polish. Not only does that look like an amazing cupcake, but I also think that this polish nailed the inspiration perfectly!
I do have a couple more pictures of this polish than usual – I wanted to make sure I’d captured that gorgeous shift!
The colour of the Fair Maiden label on the bottle varies depending on the polish colour. This is only my third Fair Maiden, but it’s the first one I have that has this gorgeous bronzey label. I really like it, especially against the teal polish! Not that that makes any difference to how the polish itself looks, of course!
In the macro you can really see how packed with holo glitter it is! Such a beauty!
This has me thinking about some underwater nail art!
Cosmic Confection will be available for order during February’s Polish Pickup, from 2-5 February, and is priced at $11. There is no cap, so no need to rush but do make sure you get your order in by 5 February if you want this beauty!
