The polishes in this post were provided for my honest review.
I have 3 gorgeous polishes from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer to share with you today! You’ll be especially interested to see these if you’re attending the Indie Shop in Atlanta tomorrow. All three will be on sale at the event, all 3 are limited edition, and one is a shop exclusive.
I’m starting off with Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer East ATL Rainbow. This one is the BEGL exclusive for The Indie Shop so if you’re attending, you’ll definitely want to pick this one up! For those that aren’t attending the Indie Shop, there’s a small chance you’ll still be able to get this one IF you’re a member of the Facebook fan group BEGLOVE. Any overpour from the Indie Shop will be listed later on for purchase only for members of the group.
Now I know that yellows aren’t the most popular of shades and I myself rarely purchase them. But if any yellow could change my mind… it’s this one. I was really surprised by how much I loved this polish. I kept staring at my nails and I got compliments on this shade while I was wearing it. This polish is inspired by the mural by Ricky Watts on Krog Street in East Atlanta.
I love the vibrant colours of the mural and I like how this polish captures some of that vibrancy. This polish is also a sort of prequel to an upcoming collection from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer that is inspired by graffiti.
East ATL Rainbow is a bright highlighter yellow packed with purple and blue microflakies and red to green aurora pigment. I found the red-green aurora pigment to be most dominant. You can see some of the microflakies coming through in the macro:
In my swatches, I’m showing 2 coats with top coat. 2 coats and it looks so incredible – and just 2 smooth coats for a yellow! This polish dries to a satin finish so you do need a top coat to get a nice shine. It looked all kinds of amazing as I was applying it, so I decided to try it with a matte top coat too:
Doens’t it look amazing? Matte, the microflakies come through a lot more, too.
This polish will be priced at $12 and remember it is an Indie Shop exclusive, so you’ll want to pick it up tomorrow if you’re attending!
Next up is Blue-Eyed Girl’s How Sweet It Is. This one is a limited edition shade – it will be available at the Indie Shop and then will be available in the BEGL shop at some point during April.
Here I am showing 2 coats of How Sweet It Is with top coat. This is a black scattered holographic with red microflakies and red to gold shifting aurora pigment. I am absolutely LOVING these aurora pigments! There is so much going on in this polish and all of it is gorgeous!
This polish is inspired by the University of Georgia. I just need to give another shout-out to East ATL Rainbow – when I swatched this polish, I still had the yellow on my right hand, and the two looked really amazing together. It was one of the rare occasions on which having my usual unmatching hands actually looked really cool!
I liked how well the red microflakies and the red-gold pigment worked together!
I decided to try this polish with a matte top coat too. I preferred this one with a glossy finish, but it’s also gorgeous matte.
This polish will also be priced at $12.
Last but not least is Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Fabulous Movie Palace.
This one is a stunning, vibrant blue. It’s holo with added gold shimmer, gold and purple microflakies, and a purple to red shifting aurora pigment.
Look at how gorgeous that is! The microflakies are so stunning! This polish is inspired by the ceiling at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre – which makes me want to go to the theatre to see the ceiling!
I am a huge fan of blue polish so this one is a winner for me – and with those microflakes and that shimmer, I can’t imagine who wouldn’t like it.
Here it is with matte top coat – I also liked this one with the glossy top coat best, but it is also gorgeous matte.
This one is also priced at $12. Like How Sweet It Is, this is also a Limited Edition shade which will be available at The Indie Shop and for a limited time on The Blue-Eyed Girl site.
