I’m still behind, but chugging along – today I have my 4th post of the Digital Dozen’s stamping week to share with you. So far this week, I’ve combined my posts with stamping plate and polish reviews – firstly plates BeautyBigBang10 and BeautyBigBang09, and then I shared stamped looks with the Moonflower Polish Spring collection. Today I am continuing the trend with a review of plate BeautyBigBang07.
This image on plate BeautyBigBang07 immediately appealed to me, and I even remember pointing it out on my Instagram story when I was first showing off these plates. I think it’s perfect for a quick but fancy-looking manicure.
To get this look, I started with a base of Ellagee Mojave Twilight, which I purchased in a recent Polish Pickup. I then stamped using Tip Top Gold Mine and plate BeautyBigBang07.
As you can see, it stamped beautifully. I am also loving the bits of Mojave Twilight you can see shining through! This is my first polish from Ellagee and I’m keen to try more from them. For my second look using this plate, I decided to try some leadlighting. I didn’t think the images on this plate were as good for decals as the others I’ve reviewed this week, but they can always work for leadlighting. To be honest, I’m not sure why I don’t do leadlighting more often – I find it much easier and I always enjoy it! Actually, I think the reason is that I don’t have enough jelly polishes and I get bored of using the same few over and over again – I clearly need some more.
As you can see there is a significant difference in my nail length here. I just had a really bad break and was forced to cut them all down! I was fighting this break for weeks but it finally happened. I definitely prefer my nails a little longer, but at least they will grow again.
Fortunately, this leadlighting would look pretty on nails of any length! To get this look, I started with a base of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Because of My Character. I stamped using plate BeautyBigBang07 and then filled in the image using OPI Turquoise Aesthetic, Purple Perspective, Pen & Pink, and Primarily Yellow.
I love the final result! Little splashes of colour that were quick and easy to do and you can still see the prettiness of Because of My Character shining through. What do you think of these two looks? If you like the plate I used, it’s available here, and you can use the code KERRY to get 10% off your purchase!
