Hi everyone!
It’s day 2 of The Digital Dozen does stamping! Yesterday I shared my review of stamping plate BeautyBigBang10 along with 2 stamped looks, and today I have another review of a plate from Beauty Big Bang, along with the usual 2 stamped looks.
For my first look, I saw this interesting hypnotic-looking image and had to pair it with some crazy neon colours.
To get this look, I started with a smooshed neon base using Sweet & Sour Lacquer Oh, Homie, Ay Caramba!, I’ll be in my Room, and Mmm… Donuts. I topped them off with a coat of my favourite iridescent flakie topper, Darling Diva Time to Make the Chimifuckingchangas. I then stamped using my Born Pretty black stamping polish and BeautyBigBang plate 09. Finally, I topped it with another coat of the flakie topper. While I think all the flakes look really cool, I wonder if that last addition of more flakies may have been a mistake – I think it just slightly obscures the stamping.
Overall though, a great success! It was maybe a little over the top for me, but I think the colours, flakes, and stamping image worked well together.
For my second look with plate BeautyBigBang 09, as usual, I went with some stamping decals. As an experiment, I tried using gold for the stamping polish rather than the black or white I usually stick to with decals.
Isn’t this a pretty flower garden look? I think the gold stamping polish gave it a really cool look! I used Powder Perfect Golden Stamping Polish. I also used a whole lot of other polishes to fill in the flowers – here’s the list:
Vapid Bubble Gum, Rock Candy, Lollipop, and Gum Drop; Darling Diva All the Dinosaurs Fear the T Rex, Supermoon The Lone Heir, and Fair Maiden Cosmic Confection.
While it’s a unique and pretty look, if I’m honest, I wasn’t crazy about this one. I much preferred both of my looks from yesterday and maybe I just liked that stamping plate better than this one!
The rest of the images on this plate all look pretty too – mostly floral and perfect for Spring!
