Hi everyone!
It’s day 4 of The Digital Dozen does Indie Love! This week is flying by. So far this week, I’ve shared some Polish ‘M floral stamping decals, a Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer drip marble, and a Vapid water marble. I was trying to think about what other techniques I could incorporate this week when I remembered some spiral nail vinyls I recently got from KBShimmer. I decided to give them a try along with 2 KBShimmer polishes.
To get this look, I started with a base of KBShimmer Shore Thing. Once it was completely dry, I applied some swirly spiral nail vinyls on each nail and then applied KBShimmer PT Young Thing on top of the vinyls. I carefully peeled off the vinyls and finished off the look with a top coat.
I haven’t been a huge fan of nail vinyls in the past – I can never seem to peel them up cleanly and get the cool, graphic-looking nail arts that others do – so I was a little nervous about trying them again. I’m glad I took the plunge and decided to try them! I still felt like I had some rough edges on my final look, but I’m overall happy with it and I can see how I could love these with a little more practice using them.
The spirals are a really fun shape for vinyls! I think I need a few more fun shapes – I always love the mermaid scale ones I see.
I actually don’t own many KBShimmers – just 3 including the two I’ve used here. Those I do have, I like a lot! Are there any KBShimmers you’d recommend to be a part of any good polish collection?
