After that Digital Dozen week packed with lots of nail art, how about a simple swatch of a gorgeous, unique polish? I decided to try my very first Anchor & Heart Polish in last month’s Polish Pickup sale. Rhyme & Reason was inspired by The Phantom Tollbooth for the Polish Pickup Books theme.
As I mentioned, this was my first experience with Anchor & Heart, and I was blown away. Aside from the gorgeous colour, the formula on this polish was everything I could wish for. Despite being packed with flakies, it was perfectly smooth, very opaque, and an absolute pleasure to apply.
The official description for this polish was a smokey denim holo base with red/pink/orange shifting aurora pigment, scattered copper holo micro glitter, and gold metallic flakies. I found this to be very accurate and all of the components of the polish came through really well. The shimmer is just stunning in this dusty blue base and the gold flakies complement it perfectly.
In the above picture and in my macro below you can see some of those pink shifts in the shimmer coming through.
In these pictures, I am showing 2 coats of Rhyme & Reason with top coat.
I know I am gushing a bit, but I really loved this polish and I was so glad I picked it up before it sold out! Now I am hoping that everything from this brand is just as good – I am definitely going to have my eye on them in the future!
Do you have any favourites from Anchor & Heart that I need to try?
