Hi everyone!

I have Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer’s May Polish Pickup offering to share with you today – The Ancient Power. This month’s Polish Pickup sale is already underway, so don’t delay! You only have one more day to pick up this pretty polish. Painted Fingertips | Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer - The Ancient Power May PPU - header

The Ancient Power is described as a bright light blue with red/green aurora shift, green/purple shifting shimmer, blue medium shimmer, and blue and purple microflakies. I would say the microflakies are quite dominant and seem to have a reddish shift as well, as you can see in the picture above.

In these images, I’m showing 3 thin coats of The Ancient Power with top coat. The formula was on the thicker side but easy to work with and as you can see, packed with shimmer and microflakes.

It is such a lovely light blue! I couldn’t help thinking of 2016’s Pantone colour of the year (despite the fact that that’s 2 years ago!) when they had 2 colours, a soft blue and soft pink. This month’s PPU theme is 90s, and the inspiration for this polish was Charmed – specifically the light from when the Charmed ones were formed and subsequently reconstituted. I used to watch Charmed with my family back in the day and I loved it! I can’t help but wonder if I’d still enjoy it now – but I definitely enjoy this polish!

Fortunately, there is no cap on the sale of this polish so it’s still available, despite my tardiness. You can get it on the Polish Pickup site, but hurry, the sale is only open until Monday evening! This polish is priced at $12.

Did you watch Charmed in the 90s? What other shows did you enjoy back then?
