Bunnies | The Digital Dozen does In My Garden

Painted Fingertips | Bunny nail art - The Digital Dozen does in my garden

Hi everyone!

It’s day 4 of The Digital Dozen does In My Garden. So far, I’ve posted some tropical flowers, a fun bee water marble, and an avocado print. Today, I’ve done some cute little bunny butts. There are a lot of wild rabbits that live around here, so you might have them in your garden whether you want them or not 🙂Painted Fingertips | Bunny nail art - The Digital Dozen does in my garden

I decided to recreate a look I did in the early days of my blog – over 4 years ago. I used brighter pastels for the background and stripes, but kept the bunnies about the same.

I used the Vapid Candy Shop collection for the background – Lemon Drop, Gum Drop, Rock Candy, Lollipop, and Peach Ring. I painted a different one as the base on each nail and then added the stripes using 3 of the others and striping tape to space them out. Unfortunately, when I peeled up the blue striping tape, it left behind tiny bits of residue. This has happened to me before, although I think it was worse this time. If you have any suggestions for striping tape that won’t do this, please let me know in the comments!

I added the bunnies on my ring finger and thumb using Sinful Colors Snow Me White and black acrylic paint. For some reason, something that I did caused the bunnies to yellow a bit. I’m not sure if it was my top coat or perhaps the matte top coat I used under the acrylic paint – I haven’t noticed either causing yellowing in other manicures. It’s very strange! I decided to just go with it since the bunnies were cute either way.
