It’s day 3 of The Digital Dozen does In My Garden! I’ve done some flowers, and some avocados – but you don’t always get to choose what’s in your garden. Sometimes you might have some visitors enjoying the sweetsmelling haven in their own way. I almost posted a different look today and left this one for tomorrow, but then I remembered it’s Water Marble Wednesday!
Bzzzz! At first I thought of doing butterflies or dragonflies, but when I looked through my stamping plates I found this image and knew it had to be bees! I always have mixed feelings when I see bees. On one hand, I know how important they are for pollination, and I LOVE honey; on the other, I’m nervous about getting stung due to some family members having bee allergies. I just try to give them a wide berth so they can do their pollinating in peace.
To get this look, I started with a base of Music City Beauty Attention Whore on all of my nails. On my middle and ring fingers, I stamped using Moyou London Animal Collection 05 and a black stamping polish. On the other nails, I did a water marble using Attention Whore and Sinful Colors Black on Black.
I mentioned when I swatched Attention Whore that I thought it’d work well in a black and yellow water marble, and I was right! I’m so glad I tried it right away.
How cute is this little bee image? I need to go back to the other images on this plate, too – so many cute options! I usually find yellow to be a difficult polish colour to wear, but I could wear it like this all week!
