The week before last was the Digital Dozen’s ‘In My Garden’ week and I only managed to get 4 out of 5 nail art looks posted. I had really hoped to get the fifth one up in time, but just didn’t quite make it! I actually had these nails done and photographed, but wasn’t able to get the photos edited and the post ready in time to share it with you – so I am sharing it now instead. I did have a fun reason for not getting it done – my husband and I took a short mini-holiday to visit NYC for a few days! It was a great time and I got to see all the touristy sights.
I was somewhat inspired by this post by Courtney from Polished Lifting – she also did silver floral stamping over a shifty, pretty base polish. The result is so elegant and yet effortless that I decided to do something similar.
I started off with a base of Supermoon Lacquer Knight’s Strength, then stamped using Powder Perfect Silver Stamping Polish and Moyou London plate Flower Power Collection 18. The images on this plate will be perfect for stamping decals or leadlighting, I need to work on some soon!
I love how crisply the Powder Perfect silver stamps. I also thought this was a fun colour combination – Knight’s Strength is kind of like the darkness of night; imagine if there were flowers that shone out in silver at night!
