Tropical Flowers | The Digital Dozen does In My Garden

Painted Fingertips | Tropical flower nail art - the Digital Dozen does In my Garden

Hi everyone!

It’s Digital Dozen week! You know what that means, lots of nail art from me and the other DD members all week! đŸ™‚ This month’s theme is ‘in my garden’. I’ve interpreted it as things that might be in a garden in general, since I don’t have my own garden. I’ve had a lot of fun with this theme for the looks I’ve done so far and I’m looking forward to getting the last couple done and sharing them all with you! I’m starting the week off with a floral. Lots of gardens have flowers in them, and it’s a pleasure walking around my neighbourhood in the Spring and seeing the lovely flowers in everyone’s front yards. These have a tropical look to them so they might not be anything I’d see here – but I appreciate all the flowers.

To get this look, I started with a base of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Welcome to the Coast. The moment I put that polish on for a swatch, I wanted to add some vibrantly coloured flowers – it’s the perfect base polish for this look!

I turned to Google for some inspiration for the flowers, and came upon this image of a tropical floral print. I’m glad that it worked just as well over my turquoise base as it did with the original black base! I used acrylic paint for the flowers and leaves.

I honestly loved everything about this nail art. I enjoyed doing it, I liked the vibrant colours, and I was so happy with the final look. I’m glad I did this look first for In my Garden week because I feel like it gave me the little nail art boost I needed.

I have some more great looks planned for this week, so come and check back! For now, check out some more garden-themed looks at these links:
