It’s day 2 of The Digital Dozen does white – and I have my least-white look of the week to share! At least, it’s probably my least white look; I haven’t finished the last one yet so we’ll see. Yesterday, I shared some cute fluffy sheep nail art. Today, I’ve once again gone with white subject matter in the form of white doves – although the nail art itself contains only a little of the colour white. I also wound up doing animals for the second time this week, which was fun.
As I was planning for this week, I made a list of different white things I could think of and then flipped through my stamping images. This flying dove image was perfect! Grey doves may be more common, but white doves are lovely and are often seen as a symbol of peace. When I was in grade 2, we had a nest of white doves right outside our classroom window!
To get this look, I started with a base of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Chasing the Skyline. I then applied blobs of Blue-Eyed Girl Luminous Matter and The Ancient Power and dabbed at them with a piece of plastic wrap to create a mottled effect. I stamped using my Born Pretty Store white stamping polish and plate BP-L063.
I just love the combination of the 3 Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquers. All of the tiny flakes and shimmers from the 3 come through and the effect is wonderful.
Tomorrow I’ll finally be steering away from white animals and I think I have a pretty unique idea for the theme – be sure to come and check it out!
