Hi everyone!
It’s Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is white. At first I didn’t like this theme at all – I was thinking that I’d have to do predominantly white, bridal-looking manicures all week. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that, but those types of looks just aren’t my usual style. Even for my own wedding, I wore turquoise nail polish! That made me dread the idea of an all-white week. That was until I had the idea to do nail art based on things that are white, rather than just making white the dominant colour. This meant that I could use plenty of colours, and I had fun coming up with things that are white!
To start the week off, I did some cute little sheep nails! Sheep were one of the first things I thought of for things that are white – and they’re more than cute enough for some nail art!
To get this look, I started off with a base of Supermoon Lacquer Polar Light. Polar Light is a retired shade, but it’s making a brief comeback later this month as a part of Supermoon Lacquer’s second birthday celebrations, so you have a last chance to pick it up! It’s a stunning green, I definitely recommend it 🙂 You can join the Facebook group to keep up with information about the sale.
I stamped using Moonflower Polish Dark Green (reviewed here) and Moyou London plate Flower Power Collection 18. I picked a stamping image that reminded me of blades of grass up close – I had to give the sheep something to nibble on!
Finally, I added the sheep using a dotting tool with Sinful Colors Snow Me White and Black on Black. It was amazing to see how much character they got the moment I added the pupils to their eyes!
Also – let’s take this moment to once again remember my wedding, when I told my bridesmaid she could have any nail design she liked as long as the dominant colour was turquoise to match my wedding colours – and she chose sheep. I may have rolled my eyes a little but she did have cute nails! Take a look at some more White Digital Dozen looks at these links:
