Hi everyone!
I am so excited to share today’s post with you! I’m excited about all of the 5 customs I had made to celebrate 5 years of Painted Fingertips, but this one has an extra special name – the polish is called Painted Fingertips! I’ve made no secret of the fact that purple is one of my favourite nail polish colours (and colours, in general). I’ve also shared many swatches and nail art looks using Supermoon polish. So, it seemed appropriate to have a purple Supermoon named for this blog that I’ve put so much time and care into.
As I mentioned in my post about Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer’s custom polish, Tiny Artworks, I wanted these custom polishes to reflect each of the makers’ personal styles, that have made me a fan of their brands to begin with. For Painted Fingertips, I provided Mardi with the shade of purple I wanted, then asked her to work her usual shimmery, shifty, little-bit-of-everything magic. If you haven’t already entered, don’t forget to enter to win this polish.
Mardi described this polish as a bright violet holographic base with violet/red/orange/gold and blue/violet/red/copper chameleon pigment, violet-to-orange and purple-to-red color shifting shimmer, iridescent violet microflakies, and metallic purple microflakies. I describe it as pure Supermoon magic! I am a huge fan of the metallic microflakies, they are stunning. Shown here are 2 coats with top coat. The formula was the perfection I’ve come to expect from Supermoon.
I am so happy with my choice to name this polish Painted Fingertips since it is so perfect for me. My favourite shade of purple, a bit shimmery, a bit holo – Mardi really delivered exactly what I wanted here.
You can just see the name label saying ‘Painted Fingertips’ – isn’t that cool? I actually didn’t come up with the name for this one until after it was already made – and when I realised I’d been overlooking the best and most obvious name, I thought DUH and contacted Mardi right away so she could get the name labels printed. I’m so glad I thought of it!
I really love the specks of violet that come through in the macro. With so many different shimmers that have violet shifts plus the microflakies, it’s hard to tell what’s what, but I think those are the microflakies and I know I love them.
Honestly, everyone needs a bottle of this polish, but since that isn’t going to happen you may as well enter my giveaway to win a bottle (along with the 4 other celebratory customs I had made!).
Thanks again to Mardi for creating this stunning polish for me!
