I have some more Polish Con swatches for you. In today’s post I have the VIP and exclusive shades from Aurora Nail Lacquer. This was my first experience with Aurora and after trying these polishes, I am keen to see what else they have to offer! These two shades also go really well together so if you get the VIP shade in your bag, you’ll want to check out the exclusive! Let’s start off with the VIP shade. This is Aurora Mani-apolis. Isn’t that a fun name? When I put this polish on my nails, it made me think of a fairy tale – it is such an ethereal shade.
Mani-apolis is a light blue to purple shifting duochrome with a holographic finish. It is described as color shifting from blue to purple with a touch of holo and rainbow glitter. Here I am showing two coats with top coat. The formula was great and easy to work with.
The duochrome effect of Mani-apolis is intended to represent the twin cities, Minneapolis and St Paul. I thought that was a really cool inspiration. I’ve been loving all of the Minnesota inspirations all of the brands have been coming up with for their Polish Con exclusive and VIP polishes!
Mani-apolis will be in some VIP bags at the con, and a few will also be available on the website after the show.
Here I am showing one coat of Mani-sota over Mani-apolis. And see, they are wonderful together! Mani-sota should look good over other shades as well – I think it’ll go with pretty much any blue, some purples, maybe nudes… and I’m sure there will be a few surprising colour combinations you can come up with, too.
As you can see, this is quite a dense glitter, so one coat is plenty for it to be used as a topper. The official description is a glitter topper packed with color shifting blue to purple color and galaxy holo glitter. It is made to be worn either on its own, or over another colour.
Mani-sota will be available at polish con for $9.75 (tax included). If there are some bottles left over, it will be offered online for $9. At the show, Aurora also offers the purchase of 2 polishes for $18.
Do you plan on grabbing this one?
