The polishes in this post were provided for my honest review.
Polish Con is TOMORROW! Can you believe it? The past week has absolutely flown by with me trying frantically to get posts up before the big day. I hope I’ve been helpful as you’re making your shopping lists!
Today I have four shades from Bohemian Polish – a VIP and three exclusive shades. I’ll start off with the VIP, Fieldskol.
I’ll say right now that Fieldskol is my favourite of the four Bohemians I have to show you today. Perhaps that’s no surprise, given my enduring love for purples. I liked all four of these shades, but Fieldskol just had that little something extra. Here I am showing three coats of Fieldskol, plus top coat. The formula was incredible, smooth and fast-drying. It’s a grape purple jelly with blue microflakes and a light holo effect that didn’t really translate to my pictures. The official description is a purple jelly holo packed with purple to blue aurora shimmer. This is the VIP polish, but a few will also be available for purchase at $12 per bottle. Don’t those blue microflakes look amazing? Next up I have the first of the exclusive shades, You’re A-maize-ing.
This was actually the first of the set that I put on my nails – it fascinated me in the bottle, and I couldn’t wait to see how it would look on the nail. You’re A-maize-ing is an amber jelly with tiny silver microflakes and a light holographic effect. Here I am showing three easy coats with top coat.
I’m not one to wear yellow polish often – and I know many of us aren’t – but I genuinely liked the effect this polish has and the richness of the shade. You’re A-maize-ing is available in limited quantities for $10. Next up, we have Fresh to Depth. Fresh to Depth is inspired by Minnesota’s nickname, the Land of 10000 Lakes. This is a blue you could swim in – bright and rich and squishy all in one. It has the same little silver microflakes and subtle holographic effect. The official description is a bold blue scattered metallic holo. Here I am showing three coats with top coat. Again, the formula was great and incredibly fast-drying. I really like the effect of the little silvery flakes in there! Fresh to Depth will also be available for $10.Last but not least, we have Bohemian Polish Lingon Me.
The deep, vibrant red of Lingon Me rounds out this primary-coloured trio of exclusive shades perfectly. Lingon Me is a dark raspberry red with a pretty scattered holo effect. Again, I am showing it here in three easy coats with top coat. This shade is inspired by Minnesota’s strong Scandinavian heritage, in particularly, lingonberries used in some Scandinavian foods. The official description is a vibrant red scattered metallic holo. Are you adding any of these last-minute to your shopping list?A fun little extra you can also pick up at the Bohemian booth is this thermal pen! Jennifer threw one into my swatch package and I was really glad – you can never have too many pens. It was a pretty light purple colour in my cool office – imagine my surprise the next day when I looked at it and it was pink! I realised it’s a thermal pen, which is really fun. Here you see both colours after I stuck it in the fridge for a few minutes and then squeezed it with my warm hand to take the picture.
I’ll be at the Polish Con venue from around 11 tomorrow, snapping pictures of all the displays before they get moved around and emptied out. I’m planning on posting sneak peeks to my Instagram story when I can, so whether you’re attending later in the day or you just want to get a taste of the show, follow me on Instagram if you’d like to see.
