The polish in this post was provided for my honest review.
I am getting in another quick post before bed tonight. In case you missed it, I shared the Blush Lacquers Polish Con exclusive and LE shades earlier today. I have just one polish in tonight’s post, Tonic First Kiss. This is the VIP shade for Polish Con, and will also be available for purchase at the show and potentially online later on if there is stock remaining.
First Kiss is named for a new apple that was developed by the University of Minnesota. Apparently, this apple should be available this Fall, although I haven’t seen it yet. I suspect it may only be available in certain regions due to the limited stock that is available at this time – maybe next year I will get to try one!
This polish is a deep mauve with strong blue shimmer. The official description is a dark, dusty, purple toned mauve cream with a strong turquoise shimmer. Here I am showing 2 coats with top coat. Lindsey also sent a bottle of her top coat, Tonic Topper, and it’s what I’ve been using for all of my Polish Con swatches.
First Kiss had a great formula and as you can see, it looked perfect on me in 2 coats. I’m a big fan of contrasting shimmers and I really like the combination of base colour and shimmer colour here! Apparently there will be several other limited edition shades from Tonic available at Polish Con as well – you can check out their Facebook fan group for more details on these.
I am such a fan of that shimmer! First Kiss will be priced at $10 and as I mentioned, will be included in some VIP bags and will also be on sale at the show and potentially later online. Do you plan on picking this one up?
