Hi everyone!

It’s day 3 of The Digital Dozen does Look Up. So far this week, I’ve shared a neon night sky and some foiled snowflakes. I’m kind of repeating the night sky idea today with some holographic galaxy nails. I try not to do similar themes twice in one Digital Dozen week, but what can I say, I’ve spent the past 3 weeks camping! I spent a lot of time looking up at the night sky. Besides, today’s look is so different from Monday’s that I think it’s okay.

To get this look, I used four of my Color Club Halo Hues shades. I started with a base of Color Club Beyond, a black holographic polish. I then used tiny pieces of a torn-up makeup sponge to sponge on Color Club Eternal Beauty, Angel Kiss, and Cosmic Fate. I finished off the look with a few dots of white acrylic paint.

I’m really happy with the way this look came out! The layered holos work really well, with little bits of each shade showing through here and there. For a long time I felt like galaxies were the bane of my nail art, never coming out the way I wanted them, but I think I’ve finally gotten the hang of it. I had to learn not to overwork and sponge too much of each colour on.
