Neon Night Sky | The Digital Dozen Does Look Up

Painted Fingertips | Neon starry stamping - The Digital Dozen does Look Up

Hi everyone!

It’s time for another Digital Dozen week! I got back just in time to take part in this one – I’ve spent the past 3 weeks on an epic road trip through the American desert Southwest! I had a great time, but it’s good to be home.

I’m doing my best to put together posts for this week, especially since I’ve missed the past couple of Digital Dozen themes. I realised halfway through my trip that DD week was right after I got back, so I searched through the handful of posts I had in drafts, and thankfully found one that could do for the first day of the theme. This month’s theme is ‘look up’ and we are supposed to look up and find inspiration in the first thing we see! I’m not sure how practical that is, or you might be seeing a lot of white ceiling-inspired looks – but I’ve at least been thinking about and observing the things I see when I look up.

I’m starting the week off with a look inspired (at least loosely!) by the night sky. I’m doing what I can to make this one work for the theme… but at least it does contain stars!

To get this look, I started with a base of Music City Beauty Showgirl, a neon pink creme. I then stamped using Moonflower Polish Navy Blue and Moyou London plate Princess Collection 18. It’s bright, and bold, and has some stars and splashes along with the stars, but in a way this is like the real night sky. When you get out of the city and see all of those stars, it may be calmer than this, but it is bright and bold and beautiful. It may not be neon pink, but it is colourful and full.

I’m glad to be taking part in another Digital Dozen week. I’ve done two more looks for this week so far and already I’ve done one technique that I rarely attempt (and actually got a look I liked!), and I tried another technique for the first time. I’m looking forward to sharing the next look with you tomorrow!

What do you see when you look up?
