I have a really good magnetic polish from Born Pretty Store to share with you today. With all the magnetics we’ve been seeing lately, I decided to try one of theirs to see how well it works. I chose one of their holographic chameleon magnetic polishes.
There are 8 different colours available on the product listing, and I selected Starry Star, which seemed to have orangey pink and gold shifts.
Since the listing states that a black base is needed, I decided to use one to get the most I could out of this polish. Over one coat of Sinful Colors Black on Black, I applied 2 coats of Starry Star and finished it off with a top coat, using my magnet after each coat and after top coat. The magnet after top coat makes a huge difference! The formula on Starry Star was good and I was very happy with the magnetic effect.
I used one of these neodymium magnets from Amazon with this polish, and I definitely recommend getting some if you’re enjoying magnetics at the moment! Also if you want to like magnetics but can’t seem to get as much shift out of them as you’d like – try one of these magnets. They are very strong and I was extremely happy with how well they worked with this polish.
In that last shot, you see just a little of the holographic effect that Starry Star has. My other pictures didn’t show much of the holo, but in the right light, this polish really sparkled.
If you’d like to try one of the Born Pretty Store magnetics yourself, they’re available here. You can also use code KGG10 for 10% off your purchase. I’d love to hear what you think of these!
