A Game of Thrones | The Digital Dozen does Books

Painted Fingertips | Weirwood Game of Thrones nails - the Digital Dozen does books

Hi everyone!

It’s day 4 of the Digital Dozen does books! So far this week, I’ve shared looks inspired by colouring books, a Saxophone method book, and Garth Nix’s Old Kingdom series. Today’s look was inspired by George R. R. Martin’s A Game of Thrones. Can you see how?

I had A Game of Thrones on my list of possibilities for this week, but wasn’t sure what I could do inspired by the book. When I thought of a weirwood, I knew it would be perfect for nail art!

To get this look, I started with a base of Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Handsomest Boys. I painted the tree using black, white and red acrylic paint, and finished off the look with a matte top coat. I seem to have gone with a matte finish quite a lot this week!

Without my thumb showing the trunk of the tree, the nail art doesn’t really look very tree-like, but fortunately it does still look pretty cool!

I’ve actually done Game of Thrones nails once before, although I chose a completely different aspect – Danaerys with her dragons.
