Blue and Orange Water Spotting

Painted Fingertips | Orange and blue water spotting

Hi everyone!

How was your Halloween? I didn’t do anything special this year, I had a nice cozy evening at home. Did you get dressed up? I’d love to hear about your costume if so!

Today’s nail art is just a tiny bit Halloweeny, but since it’s just an abstract nail art look, you could wear it any time of year – especially if you switch up the colours!

To get this look, I started with a base of Zoya Sawyer. I used Sinful Colors Rebel Rebel for the water spotting. Rebel Rebel is one of the Hypnotic Transforming Top Coats, which are great for drip marbles. They also make water spotting really easy! No need to spray anything onto the water to get the spotted effect! Just carefully add a few drops to the surface of some water (I use a small plastic cup for all of my water marbles and water spotted looks), and the polish will separate into a spotted pattern on its own. Just dip your nail, clean up, add a top coat, and you’re done!

The hypnotic polishes are so versatile! I always find myself wishing for more colours in this unique formula. I should definitely do a drip marble using these again soon!

What do you think of this look? Have you tried using the Hypnotic or any similar polishes for water spotting?
