Galaxy Nails

Hello ladies!

This one is coming from the vault… Back in September, when I was busy with the 31 day challenge, I forgot to copy my galaxy nail pictures from my camera. Not wanting to miss a day, I posted some pre-blog galaxy nails which were never meant to see the light of day. Somehow, I never got around to posting the galaxies I’d actually done for that day… Until now!galaxy nailsI decided to make each nail a different colour, which meant I used a LOT of polishes. I have seen some incredible galaxy nails and these can’t compare, but I was pretty happy with them at the time – perhaps just because I love being colourful!

Fearless Butterflies and Sugar Skulls

I don’t get asked every day for guest posts from people who aren’t close friends so it was an incredible honour when Kerry asked me to write for her, purely because I’d been following her for a little while and got to love all her art because she’s so fearless. She’s making water marble her biatch!

Denim Zip Nails

Hi everyone!

Ahhh, Friday! Almost time for another chilled out weekend 🙂 In that spirit, I’ve got some fun denim nails to show you today. Tip top Rikki Brest I Luv Denim duoFor this, I used the Tip Top Rikki Brest I Luv Denim polish duo. I don’t usually like duos since I prefer the normal bottles, but when I saw this one I couldn’t resist. I am in love with these colours, especially the darker one. I think the finish is what is usually referred to as ‘satin’ – it’s neither matte nor shiny – and really helps to bring the denim vibe across.

Guest Post: Michelle from Ordinary Misfit

Hi everyone!

Today I have a guest post for you from the lovely Michelle from Ordinary Misfit. When I first started getting really into nail art and following other blogs a few months ago, Michelle was the first South African nail art blogger I found. When I got frustrated because I couldn’t get OPI Liquid Sands in my area at the time, she bought the ones I wanted and posted them to me! How amazing is that? Not only is she a fantastic person, but she does some fantastic nail art too. Let’s take a look 😀

Hi lovelies,

I am so excited to be doing a guest post for Kerry and it is such an honour to be posting here.  A while ago Kerry nominated me for a Liebster award and she asked what was my favourite polish colour and what was my favourite type of nail art.  My answers were Pink and Stamping.  Of course Kerry knew those were going to be my answers 😉 I decided to incorporate the two for this post today.

October Tri-Polish Challenge Part 3

Hi everyone!

When I first saw the colours for this month’s tri-polish challenge – yellow, orange and green – I was pretty unsure and I struggled to think of cool ideas. But this is proof that sometimes it works to just TRY something, because I love the design I have for you today!

gradient with essence colour & go flashy pumpkin, wanna be your sunshine, and we rock the green stamped with m66I started with a sponged gradient of my 3 colours for the month – Essence Colour & Go Flashy Pumpkin, Wanna be your Sunshine, and We Rock the Green. Then I took out my Essence stampy polishes in Stamp me! White and Stamp me! Black and had fun with my new plate m66 from the Born Pretty Store.

Tape Mani Monday: Silver and Studs

Hi everyone!

It’s Monday again, time for another tape mani! This weekend I helped babysit my boyfriend’s nephew and niece, who are the sweetest kids, but it did mean I didn’t get that much nail time, so I had to pull one out of the vault for this. That means poor photography, lousy photo editing, atrocious cleanup, and execution which leaves a lot to be desired – but at least the idea behind it was sound, haha. nails inc cambridge terrace with electric lane holographic topcoat with striping tape and studs (more…)

Born Pretty Store Holo and Stamping

Hi everyone! Happy Friday! I can’t wait to enjoy a relaxing weekend 🙂

A few days ago I was excited to finally receive my first ever Born Pretty Store parcel, after a long wait with shipping and customs delays. It was filled with so many goodies I didn’t know what to try first! But since I’ve been lusting after holo polishes, the first thing to go on my nails was a holo.

born pretty store holo polish #10This is Born Pretty Store Holo #10. Isn’t is beautiful? It’s a lovely cyan blue with scattered holo – and do you see how it pulls a little green on my thumb? Love it! This is 2 coats without a topcoat.
