#5minutenailart – Glitter and Stamping

Hi everyone!

If you’ve noticed that I haven’t been posting quite as much lately, it’s because I’ve been exceptionally busy over the past few weeks. With this in mind, I was trying to throw something together for a post today when I realised it was the perfect reason to do another #5minutenailart post! It has been a while since I’ve done one of these, but a lack of time is exactly why I came up with the idea in the first place. I explained all that in my first #5minutenailart post last year. Basically, I force myself to do some quick nail art by allowing only 5 minutes to turn a plain-colour manicure into some fun nail art.

Hi everyone!

It’s time for another quick 5 minute nail art look! If you aren’t familiar with this series, you can go check out my first #5minutenailart post for an explanation, but the basic idea is that I’ll start with a plain, single-colour manicure as a base, and then have just 5 minutes to turn it into nail art. Painted Fingertips | Nail foil #5minutenailart

#5minutenailart: Stars and Neptune

Hi everyone!

I’m not sure what happened, but it’s been a whole month since my last 5 minute nail art post! I’ve just had so many other things to share with you recently. If you’re not sure what this is about, check out my first 5 minute nail art post. It’s pretty self explanatory though – I just start with a plain, base colour manicure, then have a maximum of 5 minutes to turn it into nail art. Painted Fingertips | #5minutenailart: glow in the dark stars

#5minutenailart: Grey-t To Use Glitter

Hi everyone!

I finally did it! I finally came up with a post title based on one of the nail polishes I used! I see other bloggers having these catchy titles all the time and I usually just can’t 🙂

I have another #5minutenailart to share with you today and this is one of my favourites I’ve done so far! If you’d like to know more about what this series is about, you can check out my first #5minutenailart post. The basic idea is that I’ll start with a base of a single-colour manicure, then have just 5 minutes to turn it into nail art. Painted Fingertips | 5 minute nail art: Glitter

#5minutenailart: Polka dots

Hi everyone!

I had a rough start to the week when I woke up Monday morning with some pretty bad abdominal pain. I ended up going to the hospital and after being examined by several doctors, having blood tests and a CT scan they confirmed it was appendicitis. If you’ve ever been in the hospital for something like this, you’ll know there is a lot of waiting involved! I was well taken care of though and I wound up in surgery late Monday night. Luckily an appendectomy is pretty much the most routine surgery there is, so I wasn’t too worried – just glad I could get better. I’m back home now and just feeling weak and tired and I can’t concentrate for long.

Fortunately, I had a bunch of posts lined up that I just had to write up – so at least I can blog! Today I have another 5 minute nail art post lined up for you. I covered it all in my first #5minutenailart post, but basically I start with a plain base colour and have just 5 minutes to turn it into art. Painted Fingertips | 5 minute nail art: polka dots

#5minutenailart – Blue Hearts

Hi everyone!

It’s time for another #5minutenailart! Are you excited? If you don’t know what this is all about, go take a look at my first post in the series, but the basic premise is that I start with a base of a single colour, your standard manicure, then I have just 5 minutes to turn it into some fun nail art! Painted Fingertips | #5minutenailart - red with blue hearts

#5minutenailart: Distressed nails

Hi everyone!

Before I show you today’s nail art, I wanted to let you know that I’ve joined Snapchat! My snapcode is in the sidebar or you can add me by my name, kerryfingertips. I’m still playing around with it and seeing if I like it, but part of that depends on you, too. Even though I do my nails for me, when it comes to social media, it’s more enjoyable to share in ways that YOU like to see and that you respond to. So go ahead and add me, and let me know what you’d like to see! I’m going to make my Snapchat a fun way to see some different things that are harder to show on other platforms. I’ll show you what I’m busy with as I’m painting my nails, step by step – so you’ll see what goes into it and you’ll see what I’m doing before it appears on the blog. Hopefully I’ll also do some snaps that are more about me so if you have any questions, snap me and let me know what you’d like to see!

Now, on to the nails! It’s time for another 5 minute nail art look. If you haven’t seen one of these before, you can go check out my first #5minutenailart post for an explanation of what it’s all about.

#5minutenailart – 2 glitters

Hi everyone!

Today I have another #5minutenailart post to share with you! I explained the idea in my first #5minutenailart post, but the basic premise is that I start with a base of a plain, single-colour manicure. I then set a timer for 5 minutes and I have to turn it into some pretty nail art in that time! The idea is that if you have time to do your nails at all, then you have time to do some pretty nail art! Painted Fingertips | 5 minute nail art: 2 glitters

#5minutenailart: Striping Tape

Hi everyone!

About 2 weeks ago, I introduced you to my idea of #5minutenailart. In case you missed it, the first post I did was some delicate minty nail art. The idea behind this is that I challenge myself to come up with some nail art that takes only 5 minutes to complete, both because I don’t always have more time to spend and to show those that have yet to try nail art that it doesn’t have to take forever!

The rules are that I start with a completed, normal single-colour manicure. I then set my timer and give myself just 5 minutes to add some lovely nail art. So if you have time to paint your nails at all – you have time for nail art! Painted Fingertips | #5minutenailart - striping tape
