Today I have my final (late) Christmassy look for the Digital Dozen’s Christmas in July theme to share with you! Like my first look for the week, when I used pink and blue instead of red and green, I decided to use less Christmassy colours, but stick with seasonal imagery. I love purple, so I used multiple shades of purple for this look!
It looks like I was a bit ambitious thinking that I could handle a full week of posts for Digital Dozen after my long blog hiatus! I’m a bit late with my last couple of posts, but I’m glad I’m finally managing to share this nail art with you.
It’s been a while since I’ve posted – over 3 months, in fact. Did you miss me? This is by far the longest I’ve ever been away from Painted Fingertips. It was an unintended hiatus as I got pretty sick and just didn’t have it in me to be doing nail art, never mind everything else that goes into a blog post. The good news is that I’m feeling better, so I’m back! I may stick with a slower posting schedule for now; if I’m honest, I didn’t miss blogging as much as I thought I would. It also didn’t seem as though many people really noticed I was gone, and while I enjoy doing nail art for myself, my blog is about sharing it with you. With that in mind, I hope that you will enjoy my upcoming posts!
It’s time for another Digital Dozen week! This week’s theme is books. There are so many wonderful options to choose from, although sometimes it can be hard to figure out what nail art to do to relate back to the book. For my first choice for the week, there was actually a pretty obvious nail art option. I decided to do some nail art inspired by Garth Nix’s Old Kingdom series – Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen, and the more recent additions Clariel and Goldenhand. These books were near the top of my list for this week, simply because the original trilogy were my favourite books as a teenager, and I still love them.
I have a cheerful, colourful gradient to share with you today! Things have been really busy for me lately with work and other hobbies, so I’ve had a hard time posting as much as usual. Fortunately, I found this fun gradient amongst my photos that I somehow never managed to post! It’s about time I shared it with you.
