Back in September, I unfortunately missed Digital Dozen week. I really liked the theme, which was ‘recreating your first blog posts’, and I was so sorry that I wasn’t able to take part! I did have one look that was ready to go and so I am finally sharing it with you today. It’s a simple yet effective textured rose look.
I have a simple but lovely look to share with you today. I don’t use nail decals or stencils very often, but I used some here together with two beautiful polishes from Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer to create a look that would be perfect for Christmas, Valentine’s Day, or really any time.
Today I have a look to share where I used some of my multichrome nail powder in an interesting way. Since some of these powders look so different over a black vs a white base, I realised that I could create a cool effect by simply starting with a base of black and white stamping, and then adding the powder over everything.
It’s Water Marble Wednesday! It looks like the last time I did Water Marble Wednesday was back in August, but if you like marbles, I have shared literally dozens on this blog over the years – check a few out here.
For those of you in the US, I hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving! I did, and I’m still working on some tasty leftover pie. I made my first ever pecan pie and fortunately, it was a success! I also brought home some pumpkin pie from our kind hosts and both have been delicious.
I decided to finish up the Digital Dozen’s Look Up theme with something I haven’t actually seen… but imagine if you went outside right now, looked up, and saw a sky filled with flying saucers and an alien looking down at you! It may be a little far-fetched, but who knows! Besides, I really wanted to use these stamping images 🙂
It’s day 4 of the Digital Dozen does Look Up. This week is flying by! I can’t believe it’s already Thursday. So far this week, I’ve shared a neon night sky, some foiled snowflakes, and holo galaxy nails. Today I have one that I don’t regularly see when I look up, but it would be fun if I did! I’ve stamped some cute little owls.
It’s day 3 of The Digital Dozen does Look Up. So far this week, I’ve shared a neon night sky and some foiled snowflakes. I’m kind of repeating the night sky idea today with some holographic galaxy nails. I try not to do similar themes twice in one Digital Dozen week, but what can I say, I’ve spent the past 3 weeks camping! I spent a lot of time looking up at the night sky. Besides, today’s look is so different from Monday’s that I think it’s okay.
It’s time for another Digital Dozen week! I got back just in time to take part in this one – I’ve spent the past 3 weeks on an epic road trip through the American desert Southwest! I had a great time, but it’s good to be home.
I’m doing my best to put together posts for this week, especially since I’ve missed the past couple of Digital Dozen themes. I realised halfway through my trip that DD week was right after I got back, so I searched through the handful of posts I had in drafts, and thankfully found one that could do for the first day of the theme. This month’s theme is ‘look up’ and we are supposed to look up and find inspiration in the first thing we see! I’m not sure how practical that is, or you might be seeing a lot of white ceiling-inspired looks – but I’ve at least been thinking about and observing the things I see when I look up.
