Fancy French

Hi everyone!

Today I have something quite different to my usual designs for you. As far as I can remember, I’ve never shown French nails on my blog. In general, I’m not the biggest fan of them, although I do like them in alternative colours. Today I decided to try an idea I had floating around for a while – French nails made using rhinestones instead of a second colour. rhine 5 (more…)

Jamberry Nail Wraps – review

Hi everyone!

A few weeks ago I was contacted on Instagram by MadisJamberrys and asked if I’d be interested in trying Jamberry nail wraps. Of course, I was interested in trying them, so she was great enough to send me a sample 🙂

Jamberry makes a huge variety of nail wraps and I received samples of three of them. The first one I tried out was Galactic. Madison recommended watching the application video on her website, and the instructions were fairly straightforward. You basically heat the wrap with a hairdryer, then apply it, and file off any excess. nail-art-jamberry-nail-wrap-sally-hansen-complete-salon-manicure-loves-me-not-nubar-absolute-nail-addict-by-tip-top-galaxy (more…)

Swirly Stamped Skittlette

Hi everyone!

I hope you all had a relaxing weekend. You may have noticed I’ve been on a bit of a stamping run ever since I got my new squishy stamper, and today is no exception… more stamping! I am loving the new squishy, and the more practice I get with it, the better I’ll get! The only problem with this plan is soon I’ll be wanting some more stamping plates 🙂sinful-colors-kissy-essence-stamp-me!-black-sinful-colors-black-on-black-glitter-gradient-la-colors-flashpop-pop-artsy-ilnp-i-love-nail-polish-birefringence-(h)-moyou-suki-collection-07-moyou-sailor-collection-03 (more…)

80s Distressed Nails

Hi everyone!

I decided to play with my squishy stamper a bit more to create some 80s-themed nails. Since the 80s were all about bright colours I decided to start with a brightly-coloured distressed effect.

Spiderweb Stamping

Hi everyone!

If you follow me on Instagram, you might have seen me post a picture of my very first stamping attempt with my new squishy stamper. I didn’t post it on the blog because my broken nail wasn’t looking too good – but my first attempt with the new stamper looked great! Today I’m showing you the results of my second attempt. tip-top-nail-chic-kingfisher-armourplate-stamping-moyou-pro-collection-05 (more…)

Roses and stripes with Renaissance Custom Lacquer

Hi everyone!

Today I’ve used the four Renaissance Cosmetics polishes I swatched here in some fun and girly nail art. I wanted to do some nail art with all four to show how great they go together. Since these polishes are made by the fantastic Meghan of Will Paint Nails For Food, I decided to replicate some roses and stripes nail art she recently created. renaissance-cosmetics-custom-lacquer-rosie-osie-l'hiver-love...-everyday-black-heart-don't-care-nails (more…)

Round-up: Nail Art A-Go-Go Challenge

Hi everyone!

If you’re a fairly regular reader on this blog, you’ll know that during the month of February I did the Nail Art A-Go-Go Challenge hosted by Gnarly Gnails. It was 28 days of nail art, and it was a lot of fun! I managed the daily nail art, I tried a bunch of new techniques, and I did some designs that I was pretty proud of. Let’s start off by taking a look at the themes covered by the challenge:nagg-igAll of them were pretty artistically themed – what better to choose for nail art?

Nail Art A-Go-Go Challenge – Day 28: Art Nouveau

Hi everyone

It’s the FINAL DAY of the Nail Art A-Go-Go Challenge! I’ve made it, 28 days of artistically themed nail art for your enjoyment! I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my nail art along with some new-to-me techniques, and of course the nail art of all the other ladies taking part. Today’s theme is Art Nouveau. I didn’t really know what to do with that, but one of the ‘tips’ for this theme was lines so I decided to use that as my guide. nail-art-lines-striping-tape-nails-inc-leather-effect-noho-renaissance-cosmetics-rosie-osie-sinful-colors-charmed (more…)
