Today I have some fun nails for you that I have dubbed my Milky Way nails. I did nail art that was similar to this a few times when I first started getting into nail art, and it was a big hit with Mr Boyfriend – he was actually the one who mentioned it looked like the Milky Way! I’ve made a few changes to those original ones but I figured it was finally time for my Milky Way nails to get onto my blog 🙂(more…)
As you may be aware, Essence’s Sand Effect polishes recently made it to South Africa. There are 3 shades – a nude, a red, and a dark grey – and all 3 got added to my collection. Today I’ve done some nail art featuring the red, Me & My Lover.
Another Monday… another tape mani! This is by far the best thing about Mondays!
Back before I started the blog, I tried a simple reciprocal gradient with just straight lines. I was really proud of it at the time, but unfortunately I didn’t photograph it well and I didn’t clean it up, but I loved the concept so I decided to try it again, this time with criss cross lines 🙂(more…)
Hi everyone! Today I have another AMAZING guest post for you. Siobhan from For the Love of Nail Art has done some really beautiful nails for this post 🙂 She is another South African nail art blogger and I LOVE her blog, I highly recommend you go check it out! On to the nails!
Fearless Butterflies and Sugar Skulls
I don’t get asked every day for guest posts from people who aren’t close friends so it was an incredible honour when Kerry asked me to write for her, purely because I’d been following her for a little while and got to love all her art because she’s so fearless. She’s making water marble her biatch!
Ahhh, Friday! Almost time for another chilled out weekend 🙂 In that spirit, I’ve got some fun denim nails to show you today. For this, I used the Tip Top Rikki Brest I Luv Denim polish duo. I don’t usually like duos since I prefer the normal bottles, but when I saw this one I couldn’t resist. I am in love with these colours, especially the darker one. I think the finish is what is usually referred to as ‘satin’ – it’s neither matte nor shiny – and really helps to bring the denim vibe across.
This is the fourth and final manicure for this month’s tri-polish challenge using orange, yellow and green. Halloween isn’t really a ‘thing’ here in South Africa, but for those of you that it’s a bigger deal for, Happy Halloween! And enjoy my Halloween-y nails!(more…)
Today I have a guest post for you from the lovely Michelle from Ordinary Misfit. When I first started getting really into nail art and following other blogs a few months ago, Michelle was the first South African nail art blogger I found. When I got frustrated because I couldn’t get OPI Liquid Sands in my area at the time, she bought the ones I wanted and posted them to me! How amazing is that? Not only is she a fantastic person, but she does some fantastic nail art too. Let’s take a look 😀
I am so excited to be doing a guest post for Kerry and it is such an honour to be posting here. A while ago Kerry nominated me for a Liebster award and she asked what was my favourite polish colour and what was my favourite type of nail art. My answers were Pink and Stamping. Of course Kerry knew those were going to be my answers 😉 I decided to incorporate the two for this post today.
