Water Marble Wednesday: Green and Purple

Painted Fingertips | Green and purple water marble

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday and hopefully you know by now that means some awesome nail art! I am really proud of my marble today. This is the kind of marble that has made me envy marbling skills! Something was just right and I got the marble I’ve been searching for for ages. (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Woodgrain

Painted Fingertips | Woodgrain Water Marble

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday and today I have created woodgrain on my nails! I’ve had this idea in my head ever since I did this vertical stripe water marble and it reminded me of woodgrain (even though it was blue). I’d been putting off trying it in brown as I have a whole two brown polishes and I figured there wasn’t much chance that they would happen to marble well. I eventually decided I may as well just try them in the water and to my surprise, both polishes marbled perfectly! (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Valentine’s Day

Painted Fingertips | Valentine's Day Water Marble

Hi everyone!

I know, I know, it’s already Thrusday, but this post was SUPPOSED to be ready yesterday. I’ve gotten really behind on blogging ever since I added the sweetest little kitten to my family a couple of weeks ago (I posted some pictures on Instagram, in case you’re curious). He has so much energy and playing with him has been taking up a lot of my nail time!

Today I have tried to create a heart water marble for Valentine’s Day. Unfortunately it didn’t come out quite as I was hoping, but let me show you anyway: (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Freehand Lettering

Painted Fingertips | Freehand lettering over a water marble

Hi everyone!

First up, a warm welcome to my new blog! I’ve revamped the whole look and made it easier for you to navigate, comment and pin images – I hope you will enjoy it!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday and today I have combined a water marble with freehand art. Some days a marble just doesn’t go the way you wanted it to. It could be that the polishes don’t spread properly (in which case you should just choose different polishes!) or it could be that the colours just don’t look the way you were hoping they would. That’s what happened to me this time. I did a neon water marble a couple of weeks ago which worked amazingly and another one using only some of the colours which I loved as well. This time I tried to use a different selection of neons and it just didn’t work out. The marble constantly looked muddy and the colours were really pale. (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Pink and Purple

Painted Fingertips | Pink and purple water marble

Hi everyone!

You might remember how excited I was a couple of weeks ago to find out how well the Tip Top neons marbled. I was determined to try them again and today I have. I actually didn’t use the same polishes as last time, but used a different bright pink and purple from Tip Top to see if they would work as well. (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Ocean

Painted Fingertips | Oceanic water marble with stamping

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday and today I have combined a marble with some stamping. I was looking for some marbling ideas when I came across this stamped oceanic marble on Mucking Fusser and decided to do something similar. First of all, here is the marble on its own: (more…)
