It’s Water Marble Wednesday and today I have created woodgrain on my nails! I’ve had this idea in my head ever since I did this vertical stripe water marble and it reminded me of woodgrain (even though it was blue). I’d been putting off trying it in brown as I have a whole two brown polishes and I figured there wasn’t much chance that they would happen to marble well. I eventually decided I may as well just try them in the water and to my surprise, both polishes marbled perfectly! (more…)
I know, I know, it’s already Thrusday, but this post was SUPPOSED to be ready yesterday. I’ve gotten really behind on blogging ever since I added the sweetest little kitten to my family a couple of weeks ago (I posted some pictures on Instagram, in case you’re curious). He has so much energy and playing with him has been taking up a lot of my nail time!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday and today I have combined a water marble with freehand art. Some days a marble just doesn’t go the way you wanted it to. It could be that the polishes don’t spread properly (in which case you should just choose different polishes!) or it could be that the colours just don’t look the way you were hoping they would. That’s what happened to me this time. I did a neon water marble a couple of weeks ago which worked amazingly and another one using only some of the colours which I loved as well. This time I tried to use a different selection of neons and it just didn’t work out. The marble constantly looked muddy and the colours were really pale. (more…)
