I’m back with my third post for the Digital Dozen does stamping week! And yes, I’m already a day late on this one. Ugh! I intended to get so much done this week but whatever germ I caught has really taken me out. I’m starting to feel a little better but a couple of days in bed didn’t help for getting anything done on time.
For today’s stamping post, I have a review of 4 new polishes from Moonflower! These can be used as regular polishes or for stamping, and of course today I am showing you how they perform as stampers. Nadia describes these as iridescent duochromey holos with coordinating microflakies, and yes, they are as pretty as they sound! I have 2 looks with each of these 4 polishes so be sure to check out the full post! (more…)
It’s day 2 of The Digital Dozen does stamping! Yesterday I shared my review of stamping plate BeautyBigBang10 along with 2 stamped looks, and today I have another review of a plate from Beauty Big Bang, along with the usual 2 stamped looks. (more…)
It’s Digital Dozen week! Can you believe it’s already time again? Thanks to the February week being a little later in the month than usual, this one came up so quickly! I have to say that I have had a crazy couple of weeks and didn’t get much chance to prepare for this week. On top of that, I’m sick with a miserable cold and don’t really feel like doing anything. All that considered, I’ve decided to combine my Digital Dozen posts this week with some stamping polish and plate reviews that I need to get posted. I don’t usually like to combine but I have to get these up anyway, and technically they are perfect for the theme. So, today’s Digital Dozen stamping post comes in the form of a review of Beauty Big Bang stamping plate 10. (more…)

Remember the amazing vampy stamping polishes from Moonflower I showed you the other day? Well, it turns out they can do more than just stamp. Today I have swatches of the 5 vampy cremes on their own as regular polish and they are amazing like this too! Before I even start showing you the pictures, I need to let you know that I used only ONE COAT for each of these 5 polishes. They are incredibly pigmented and while force of habit – plus wanting to make sure I didn’t miss any spots due to poor application skills – generally makes me want to use 2 coats for any polish, these really, truly only need one. Let’s take a look at these beauties! (more…)

It’s almost time for the March Polish Pickup to start! Can you believe it’s already March? The sale with plenty of book-themed polishes available is starting tomorrow. Today, I have a swatch of one more polish you probably need to add to your wishlist! This is Blue-Eyed Girl Lacquer Because of My Character. (more…)
Can you believe that it’s already almost the end of February? In a couple of days, it’ll be March, and with March comes the books theme for Polish Pickup! The books theme was a long time coming, almost making it in over the past couple of months and then just being voted out. Finally, the books theme won, and I for one am really excited about it! I have been seeing a few books that I know and enjoy, and others that I haven’t read before – along with lots of pretty polish!
If Polish Pickup is new to you, here’s how it works: prior to each month’s Polish Pickup weekend, there is a period for nominations, and then voting for a theme. These are announced in the Polish Pickup Pack Facebook group, if you’d like to keep up with them there. Once a theme has been selected, participating makers all make a nail polish or other nail care and related items according to the theme. These are revealed in the weeks leading up to the pickup weekend. Finally, on the first weekend of the month, all of the items are available for purchase in one convenient shop. For March, the shop opens at 11 am EST on March 2 and is open for three days, until March 5. That is the only time that this nail polish is available! Enough talk – time for swatches! (more…)
I managed to get my final look done for the Digital Dozen’s mythical creatures week, just one day late. Phew! So far this week, I’ve shared nail art looks inspired by dragons, fairies, phoenix, and unicorns. I had so much fun with this week’s theme, and honestly I think it’s been one of my best Digital Dozen weeks! The only look I didn’t absolutely LOVE was my unicorn one.
For today’s look, I needed to get something done in a hurry after my giant Moonflower stamping polish post set me a day behind. I looked through the pictures from the other Digital Dozen members this week and this basilisk look by Manis & Makeovers really stood out to me. My look turned out quite different from hers, but she definitely inspired me. (more…)
I know, I know, I’m behind on Digital Dozen posts! I really love this theme so I’m going to try my best to get the last one done this weekend. For now, here is a quick stamped unicorn look. I don’t think it lives up to the other incredible unicorn looks posted by other Digital Dozen members this week, but at least it’s done. And, if you’re wondering why I’m a day behind, did you see my mega post yesterday with 10 stamped nail art looks? I reviewed 5 new stamping polishes and they’re all fantastic!
Back to today’s look – I actually did these about a month ago and hadn’t got around to posting them as I was on the fence about them. However, they are perfect for this theme, so I am finally sharing them with you. (more…)
