12 Days of Christmas: Ugly Sweater

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme in the Challenge Your Nail Art 12 Days of Christmas challenge is ugly sweaters. Ugly sweaters aren’t really a part of Christmas here since it’s summer but I think they are a pretty well known Christmas image. I realised I had never done argyle nails before so I decided to go with Christmas coloured argyle sweater nails. (more…)

Inspired by the Supernatural – Day 29 of the #31DC2014

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme for the 31 Day Challenge is Inspired by the Supernatural. I’ve stretched a bit to get mine within the theme, but too bad – I love what I’ve done!

I originally planned to stamp some little demons over a background of fire. Once I’d done the fire, I liked it so much that I didn’t want to add the demons any more… so now they’re just Hellfire nails. (more…)

Rainbow Nails for Day 9 of the 31 Day Challenge

Hi everyone!

I had some trouble deciding what to do for today’s prompt. I’ve done rainbow gradients before, so I wanted to try something different. The first idea I had didn’t work out at all but I am actually glad because I love the result of my next idea: (more…)

Hi everyone!

This month, the colours for the Tri-polish challenge are red, green and purple. I decided it was a good opportunity to finally try out a technique I’ve been seeing a lot of lately: leadlight stamping.

As far as I know, this technique was pioneered by Messy Mansion, who even brought out a whole range of polishes especially for it. The idea is that you stamp over a light background, then fill in the image with very sheer jelly polishes so that you can still see the stamping through them. (more…)

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme for the Neverending Pile Challenge is a drugstore-available polish. For me, that’s almost all I own, since most other polishes are out of my price range. I used polishes from a few different brands, including 3 untrieds, and I decided to try creating some stamping decals again. (more…)
