Today I have my final (late) Christmassy look for the Digital Dozen’s Christmas in July theme to share with you! Like my first look for the week, when I used pink and blue instead of red and green, I decided to use less Christmassy colours, but stick with seasonal imagery. I love purple, so I used multiple shades of purple for this look!

I am so excited to share this post with you! A short while ago, Nadia of Moonflower Polish approached me and asked me if I could showcase a few of her polishes on my blog. Of course I leapt at the opportunity! Most polishes made by Moonflower are intended as stamping polish, so of course they are perfect for me with all of the nail art I do. In fact, just the other day I was thinking that I needed something fresh in my stamping repertoire and purchased a few new plates. These stamping polishes were perfect to add to that and I think you will like them too!
Today I have 5 brand new Moonflower polishes to share, the Vampy Cremes. These are releasing tomorrow morning, 23 February, at 9 am EST on the Moonflower Polish site. They are all dark creme bases with complementary colour shifting shimmers. They will be priced at $8 for a 15 ml bottle, or $38 for the set of 5. They are also available in mini bottles at $5 each or $23 for the set of 5. Do note that since these are highly pigmented, they may cause staining of nails, skin, or stampers; however I personally have not had any issues with staining while using these as stamping polishes.
I have tested each of these stamping polishes over both a light and a dark colour, so there are no less than 10 stamped looks to follow! It is a long, picture-heavy post, but worth it. Keep on scrolling to see how amazing each of the stamping polishes looks! (more…)
Can you believe it’s already day 4 of the Digital Dozen Does Black? This week is going by so fast! If you missed my previous posts this week, check out day 1, day 2, and my personal favourite day 3. Last night I finished off my final look for tomorrow’s DD does black post. I was showing it off to my husband when he commented that I’d done an awful lot of black manicures lately! Duh – it’s Digital Dozen black week! I had even asked him for some ideas for the last look the night before, so it’s not like he didn’t know about it 🙂
Today I decided to bring in some texture with the black and of course, you know by now that my favourite thing to use together with texture is tape. That meant I ended up creating a fun pink and black crisscross look. (more…)
Despite the more limited time I have for nails now, I’ve decided to join in on a low-key group linkup. Some ladies are taking part every week but I’ve decided to aim for once every two weeks. Every second friday, you’ll be seeing a different nail art theme and not only will I share my own nails, but there’ll be a linkup at the bottom of the page for you to see more ideas on the theme. Today’s theme was hobbies and for me, that could only go one way. I am barely getting time to do my nails, when would I fit in another hobby at the moment? So, I did nail art about nail art! (more…)
I have another swatch to share with you today. I was really excited when I first got my hands on this polish a couple of months ago. It is possible to get China Glaze here, but it’s not the most convenient to find and it’s also not the cheapest thanks to exchange rates. Because of that, I always just admired their polishes from afar, until I won Tart-y for the Party and Bump in the Night from Ordinary Misfit. I was so glad for a chance to try out a couple of their polishes! (more…)
If you’re a regular visitor on this blog, then you probably know by know that I love doing freehand nail art the most. It does take longer than many other techniques though, so I don’t always get a chance to do it. When I do, I love it, and today’s look is no exception! (more…)
I recently saw this freehand chevron post on Chalkboard Nails and today I decided to recreate it. I have been seeing chevrons all over lately but most of them are smaller or finer ones created with vinyls or using stamping. I really liked the combination of broader lines with the finer chevrons on Sarah’s nail art. I loved her colour combination as well so I went with something similar: (more…)
