The Digital Dozen Does Black: Pink Crisscross

This post contains affiliate links.

Hi everyone!

Can you believe it’s already day 4 of the Digital Dozen Does Black? This week is going by so fast! If you missed my previous posts this week, check out day 1, day 2, and my personal favourite day 3. Last night I finished off my final look for tomorrow’s DD does black post. I was showing it off to my husband when he commented that I’d done an awful lot of black manicures lately! Duh – it’s Digital Dozen black week! I had even asked him for some ideas for the last look the night before, so it’s not like he didn’t know about it 🙂

Today I decided to bring in some texture with the black and of course, you know by now that my favourite thing to use together with texture is tape. That meant I ended up creating a fun pink and black crisscross look. Painted Fingertips | Pink crisscross for the Digital Dozen Does Black (more…)

40 Great Nail Art Ideas – Hobbies!

Hi everyone!

Despite the more limited time I have for nails now, I’ve decided to join in on a low-key group linkup. Some ladies are taking part every week but I’ve decided to aim for once every two weeks. Every second friday, you’ll be seeing a different nail art theme and not only will I share my own nails, but there’ll be a linkup at the bottom of the page for you to see more ideas on the theme. Today’s theme was hobbies and for me, that could only go one way. I am barely getting time to do my nails, when would I fit in another hobby at the moment? So, I did nail art about nail art! Painted Fingertips | I love nail art

Swatch: China Glaze Tart-y For The Party

Hi everyone!

I have another swatch to share with you today. I was really excited when I first got my hands on this polish a couple of months ago. It is possible to get China Glaze here, but it’s not the most convenient to find and it’s also not the cheapest thanks to exchange rates. Because of that, I always just admired their polishes from afar, until I won Tart-y for the Party and Bump in the Night from Ordinary Misfit. I was so glad for a chance to try out a couple of their polishes! Painted Fingertips | Swatch: China Glaze Tart-y For the Party (more…)

Freehand Chevrons

Hi everyone!

I recently saw this freehand chevron post on Chalkboard Nails and today I decided to recreate it. I have been seeing chevrons all over lately but most of them are smaller or finer ones created with vinyls or using stamping. I really liked the combination of broader lines with the finer chevrons on Sarah’s nail art. I loved her colour combination as well so I went with something similar:Painted Fingertips | Freehand Chevron Nail Art (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Vertical Stripes

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday again and I really like what I’ve come up with today! I’ve done water marbles consisting of horizontal stripes before (my bee water marble and mummy water marble), but I realised I’d never done one with vertical stripes so of course I had to try it. HPB October Halloween Mani Link-Up

Hi everyone!

Today I have another Halloween post to share with you, but this one is a little different. I am collaborating with a lot of other bloggers to bring you Halloween-themed posts today. I am part of a Facebook group called Hobby Polish Bloggers. It’s a group for anyone who blogs about nails or polish as a hobby, like me, to ask each other questions, share ideas, get advice, and so on. It’s not for showing pictures of nail art but rather for discussing blogging, polish, and nail art. It can be very helpful for anyone who is blogging in this area and if you have a blog too, I highly recommend you check out the group. We will be doing monthly link-ups and this month’s theme is Halloween. Painted Fingertips | Bats and tree silhouettes - Halloween nail art (more…)
