It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen does Mythical Creatures! Remember how I mentioned on Monday that dragons are always the first mythical creature that come to mind for me? Well, phoenix are rarely far behind. I love the whole concept of the phoenix, from its flaming body to its ability to resurrect. So today, I have done a phoenix-inspired drip marble.
Wow, I can’t believe it’s been a full week since I’ve posted! I intended to post more last week but I’ve been having a particularly crazy time with work, and after the 31 Day Challenge, I just didn’t have a post ready to go. Good news though – I’ll be posting every day this week! And not just any posts, Digital Dozen posts! That’s right, I’m now a member of the Digital Dozen nail art group! If you follow a lot of nail art blogs, you’ve probably heard of the group already. If not, the Digital Dozen is a group of nail bloggers who choose a theme each month and then post 5 nail art looks for the theme during one week, Monday to Friday. The group has been around for 4 years already, with membership changing over time, and I’ve always looked up to the members as fantastic nail artists. I am really excited that I have the opportunity to be in this group now! I think it’ll be a lot of fun and hopefully I’ll create some great nail art to share with you all.
This month’s theme, for my first month with the Digital Dozen, is vampy.
We’re into the final section of the 31 Day Challenge! All the rest of the themes are ‘inspired by’ something and today’s is inspired by a colour. The beginnings of autumn have definitely arrived here in Minnesota and a few of the trees are beginning to change. It seems like this year I’ve caught the fall bug, too. I love summer, but I’ve found myself drawn to browns and bronzes recently. In the Voxbox I received from Influenster a few weeks ago, I got a bottle of Seche Intrepid and also a coupon to get a second colour with the purchase of a bottle of Seche Vite. Seche Vite is a great top coat, so of course I took advantage of it. The colour I decided to pick was the perfectly autumny Seche Whimsical.

Today I have a review of a new Born Pretty Store stamping plate to share with you, plate BP-X04. I was excited to notice that Born Pretty Store was bringing out some new plates recently. I’ve liked the plates I’ve tried lately so I was excited to see some new designs. Here is a picture of how the plate I picked looks (image from Born Pretty Store): (more…)
The polishes used in this post were provided for my honest review.
Today I am excited to share a new collection from Darling Diva Polish with you. This 8-piece collection, called Watch Your Pack, is inspired by the TV show Teen Wolf. I haven’t watched Teen Wolf yet, but considering previous DDP collections include Deadpool, which I liked, and Star Wars, which I love, maybe I should! This collection is releasing this Friday, 22 July, and all polishes are one-pour only, which means when they’re sold out, they’re gone forever. I absolutely love this collection so I’ve taken a lot of pictures (picture heavy post!) and I recently got a macro lens for my phone – if you follow me on Snapchat you may have already seen macros of some of these – so for the first time on Painted Fingertips, I’ll be including macro shots of all polishes as well. Enjoy!
