Today I have one from the stash to share with you – I did these nails months ago but never got around to posting them. I didn’t quite love the nail art so it always seemed like there was something else to post first. I still think they’re fun, though, so I’m glad I’m finally getting around to sharing them with you!
It’s day 2 of the Digital Dozen Decades theme and today I’ve jumped ahead to the 90s. This was a time of rock music, leather, and too much eyeliner. I decided on a distressed look with a splash of colour and some stamping:
Before I show you today’s nail art, I wanted to let you know that I’ve joined Snapchat! My snapcode is in the sidebar or you can add me by my name, kerryfingertips. I’m still playing around with it and seeing if I like it, but part of that depends on you, too. Even though I do my nails for me, when it comes to social media, it’s more enjoyable to share in ways that YOU like to see and that you respond to. So go ahead and add me, and let me know what you’d like to see! I’m going to make my Snapchat a fun way to see some different things that are harder to show on other platforms. I’ll show you what I’m busy with as I’m painting my nails, step by step – so you’ll see what goes into it and you’ll see what I’m doing before it appears on the blog. Hopefully I’ll also do some snaps that are more about me so if you have any questions, snap me and let me know what you’d like to see!
Now, on to the nails! It’s time for another 5 minute nail art look. If you haven’t seen one of these before, you can go check out my first #5minutenailart post for an explanation of what it’s all about.
Today’s theme in the Neverending Pile Challenge is a discontinued polish. I’m not really someone who will go to great lengths to get my hands on a specific polish just because it’s limited edition or something – I tend to think if you like a polish, you should be able to get it. Of course, I do buy limited editions too when I like them! This particular one I found on a sale rack at Clicks not long after I started getting into nail polish. I can’t find a lot of info on it so I’m not sure if it was available in other countries as well or not. Here it is (along with some nail art) – Yardley Glitter Glam Couture Cocktail. (more…)
