It’s day 2 of the Digital Dozen does Rainforests and today I have one of my favourite looks of the week to share with you (although my absolute favourite is still coming up on Friday!). I’ve combined some stamping and freehand to create a pretty butterfly nail art.
It’s the final day of Digital Dozen Get to Know Me week! I’ve only managed to share 3 nail arts this week because I’ve been particularly busy with presentations, field trips and proposals due, but be sure to check out the other Digital Dozen members’ blogs and get to know them a little better.
So far this week, I’ve shared something about my career and my sweet kitty-cat. You already know that my hobby is nail art. Today I’ve done nails dedicated to the type of exercise I enjoy – running! (more…)
Today’s theme in the 31 Day Challenge is ‘inspired by a song’. I decided to choose one of my favourite U2 songs, Kite. Even though I know the song isn’t about actual kites, I decided to just go with a very literal interpretation of its name.

You may remember that about 2 months ago, I reviewed a clear stamper from Born Pretty Store. Here I am with yet another clear stamper from them. The difference is that while the stamper I showed you previously had a clear head, the holder was frosted. This stamper has a completely clear holder as well. This is fantastic because with the first clear stamper I had to change the way I stamped in order to be able to see where I was placing the image; with this one, I can stamp as I normally do and still be able to see the image as I stamp.
If you haven’t heard of Roselynn’s blog, Manicured and Marvelous, now is the time to go and check it out. Roselynn has gorgeous nails and does a mix of fantastic nail art and swatches. Unfortunately, she’s been struggling with some health issues recently so the delightful Jessica of Be Happy, Buy Polish pulled a few of us together to do some nail art inspired by Roselynn and brighten her day.

Today I have a review of a Born Pretty Store stamping plate to share with you. Today I’m trying out plate BP-73. I picked this plate because I have really been craving florals lately and the plate is all about roses! I love the images and I couldn’t wait to try them. First I tried the roses with some sexy red:

If you saw my post last week you’ll be glad to know that I am doing a lot better and I’m back to work today. I also have a new post to share with you! If you’re following me on Snapchat, you would have seen the fun nail art package I recently got from Born Pretty Store (and if not – my snapcode is in the sidebar!). The package included a turquoise stamping polish which I will be sharing with you today.
I had a rough start to the week when I woke up Monday morning with some pretty bad abdominal pain. I ended up going to the hospital and after being examined by several doctors, having blood tests and a CT scan they confirmed it was appendicitis. If you’ve ever been in the hospital for something like this, you’ll know there is a lot of waiting involved! I was well taken care of though and I wound up in surgery late Monday night. Luckily an appendectomy is pretty much the most routine surgery there is, so I wasn’t too worried – just glad I could get better. I’m back home now and just feeling weak and tired and I can’t concentrate for long.
Fortunately, I had a bunch of posts lined up that I just had to write up – so at least I can blog! Today I have another 5 minute nail art post lined up for you. I covered it all in my first #5minutenailart post, but basically I start with a plain base colour and have just 5 minutes to turn it into art.
