Today’s theme for the 31 Day Challenge is Inspired by the Supernatural. I’ve stretched a bit to get mine within the theme, but too bad – I love what I’ve done!
I originally planned to stamp some little demons over a background of fire. Once I’d done the fire, I liked it so much that I didn’t want to add the demons any more… so now they’re just Hellfire nails.
We’re into the third and final section of the 31 Day Challenge. During this section, each look is inspired by something (a movie, a pattern, an artwork, etc). Today’s nails are inspired by a colour. I decided to go with this year’s Pantone Colour of the Year, Radiant Orchid. (more…)
It’s Tuesday and that means it’s time for the Tri-Polish Challenge! This month’s colours are red, blue, and yellow. Last week I started off with a bang with these cute octopus nails. This week I was also inspired by another blogger – I loved these swirly nails by Adventures in Acetone and decided to be a copycat 🙂 (more…)
This month I am taking part in the Crumpet’s Nail Tarts Tri-Polish Challenge once again. This month’s colours are red, blue, and yellow. At first I had trouble coming up with good ideas for these colours (and I still need a couple more ideas!) but then I saw these adorable nails done by Wondrously Polished and I got inspired! (more…)
Today’s theme in the Neverending Pile challenge is indies, and since there’s no chance I have an untried indie, I just have a normal post for you today – although there are a couple of untried polishes in here!
My posting schedule is a bit off this week. After the long weekend we took for my boyfriend’s birthday I did my Monday post on Tuesday and only after posting it did I realise I was supposed to do my Tri-Polish Tuesday post.
I took part in this challenge a few times last year but I haven’t had a chance for it yet this year. The rules have changed a little and instead of using the exact same 3 polishes for each nail art design you only have to use the same 3 colours and you can switch polishes each week.
This month the colours are pink, yellow and blue. Here’s what I came up with: (more…)
A few weeks ago I was contacted on Instagram by MadisJamberrys and asked if I’d be interested in trying Jamberry nail wraps. Of course, I was interested in trying them, so she was great enough to send me a sample 🙂
Jamberry makes a huge variety of nail wraps and I received samples of three of them. The first one I tried out was Galactic. Madison recommended watching the application video on her website, and the instructions were fairly straightforward. You basically heat the wrap with a hairdryer, then apply it, and file off any excess. (more…)
Hi everyone! Today I have another AMAZING guest post for you. Siobhan from For the Love of Nail Art has done some really beautiful nails for this post 🙂 She is another South African nail art blogger and I LOVE her blog, I highly recommend you go check it out! On to the nails!
Fearless Butterflies and Sugar Skulls
I don’t get asked every day for guest posts from people who aren’t close friends so it was an incredible honour when Kerry asked me to write for her, purely because I’d been following her for a little while and got to love all her art because she’s so fearless. She’s making water marble her biatch!
This is the fourth and final manicure for this month’s tri-polish challenge using orange, yellow and green. Halloween isn’t really a ‘thing’ here in South Africa, but for those of you that it’s a bigger deal for, Happy Halloween! And enjoy my Halloween-y nails! (more…)
