Turquoise Gradient

Hi everyone!

Today I have a simple but lovely gradient to share with you. I actually did this gradient to practice one potential option for my wedding nails! I’m getting married next month and I’ve picked everything I need except for what to do on my nails. There are just too many options!Painted Fingertips | Turquoise gradient (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Mixed Patterns

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday! When I was planning this marble, I couldn’t decide if I wanted to do stripes or petals for the marble pattern, so in the end I decided to do both. I really liked how the two patterns looked together, and the brightness of the colours I used. Painted Fingertips | Mixed patterns water marble (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Green and Purple

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday and hopefully you know by now that means some awesome nail art! I am really proud of my marble today. This is the kind of marble that has made me envy marbling skills! Something was just right and I got the marble I’ve been searching for for ages. Painted Fingertips | Green and purple water marble (more…)

Mottled Pink and Turquoise Nails

Hi everyone!

Today I have some super simple nails to share with you. These nails were originally meant as the base for some stamping, but my stamping was just a disaster. I have been struggling with stamping lately and on this day it just wouldn’t work for me. Luckily I took pictures before I started stamping and the base still makes for a very pretty manicure. 12 Days of Christmas: Any line from the ’12 Days’ song

Hi everyone!

I’m sure most of you know the ’12 Days of Christmas’ song.

On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:
A partridge in a pear tree.

The song goes on for 12 days of Christmas with 12 different gifts (e.g. 2 turtle doves, 5 golden rings, 12 drummers drumming). The idea of today’s prompt was to take one of the gifts from the song and translate it into nail art. I decided to ‘cheat’ by instead using the line ‘On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me’. For our first Christmas together, my true love gave me a beautiful summer dress with a leaf print pattern. I decided to do matching nails:Painted Fingertips | Leaf print nails (inspired by a dress) (more…)

Water Marble Wednesday: Vertical Stripes

Hi everyone!

It’s Water Marble Wednesday again and I really like what I’ve come up with today! I’ve done water marbles consisting of horizontal stripes before (my bee water marble and mummy water marble), but I realised I’d never done one with vertical stripes so of course I had to try it. I have been loving the warmer weather lately so I decided to celebrate the change of season with some nail art! Coewless did this spring nail art months ago – back when it was autumn here – and I was just waiting for my chance to recreate it! Painted Fingertips | Spring nail art (more…)
