It’s Water Marble Wednesday! When I was planning this marble, I couldn’t decide if I wanted to do stripes or petals for the marble pattern, so in the end I decided to do both. I really liked how the two patterns looked together, and the brightness of the colours I used. (more…)

Today I have some super simple nails to share with you. These nails were originally meant as the base for some stamping, but my stamping was just a disaster. I have been struggling with stamping lately and on this day it just wouldn’t work for me. Luckily I took pictures before I started stamping and the base still makes for a very pretty manicure. I’m sure most of you know the ’12 Days of Christmas’ song.
On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me:
A partridge in a pear tree.
The song goes on for 12 days of Christmas with 12 different gifts (e.g. 2 turtle doves, 5 golden rings, 12 drummers drumming). The idea of today’s prompt was to take one of the gifts from the song and translate it into nail art. I decided to ‘cheat’ by instead using the line ‘On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me’.
