Day 27 of the 31 Day Challenge: Inspired by an Artwork

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme in the 31 Day Challenge is ‘Inspired by an Artwork’. There are so many beautiful artworks out there – most of which are tough to translate to nail art – but I remembered seeing these amazing nails done by Break Rules Not Nails. They were inspired by an artwork called “Home on the Hill” by Megan Duncanson. It was the first time I heard of Megan Duncanson, but I love the vivid colours and brushstrokes used in all her works. 31 Day Challenge – Day 23: Inspired by a movie

Hi everyone!

Today I tried some of the most complex nail art I’ve ever done: Finding Nemo nails! They’ve been done before plenty of times, but I knew I wanted to do an animation for my movie-inspired nails, and Finding Nemo was one of my favourite animations ever. Before I show you the pictures, I want you to focus very carefully: Look at my thumb, index finger, middle finger, CLOSE YOUR EYES FOR A MILLISECOND, and look at my pinkie. Seriously, don’t even THINK about looking at my trainwreck of a ring finger! Sadly I didn’t have time to try redo it! (more…)
