Day 27 of the 31 Day Challenge: Inspired by an Artwork

Hi everyone!

Today’s theme in the 31 Day Challenge is ‘Inspired by an Artwork’. There are so many beautiful artworks out there – most of which are tough to translate to nail art – but I remembered seeing these amazing nails done by Break Rules Not Nails. They were inspired by an artwork called “Home on the Hill” by Megan Duncanson. It was the first time I heard of Megan Duncanson, but I love the vivid colours and brushstrokes used in all her works. 31DC2014 Day 2 – Aerosmith for Orange

Hi everyone!

Today’s prompt in the 31 Day Challenge is orange. I was pretty stuck for what do to for this prompt for a while. My boyfriend and I were listening to the latest Aerosmith album, Music From Another Dimension!, when I complained that I needed an idea for orange nails. He immediately pointed out the Aerosmith logo on the album was in orange and I should do that! (more…)

August Tri-Polish Challenge: Octopus nails

Hi everyone!

This month I am taking part in the Crumpet’s Nail Tarts Tri-Polish Challenge once again. This month’s colours are red, blue, and yellow. At first I had trouble coming up with good ideas for these colours (and I still need a couple more ideas!) but then I saw these adorable nails done by Wondrously Polished and I got inspired! (more…)
