The Digital Dozen Does December: Christmas Print

Hi everyone!

It’s the last day of the Digital Dozen December week! So far this week I’ve shared beach nails, snow nails, birthday nails, and a Christmas tree design. Christmas has always been my favourite holiday, and it’s a big part of December to me, so today I have another Christmas design to share with you. Painted Fingertips | Christmas print

The Digital Dozen Does Colour Contrast Day 3: Red and Green

Hi everyone!

It’s day 3 of the Digital Dozen does colour contrasts week and today I’m going with the third ‘obvious’ contrast – red and green! I’ve already shown you my blue and orange and purple and neon yellow nails. We actually had a bit of a discussion in the Digital Dozen group about how to avoid making red and green look too Christmassy, I think I managed it though 🙂Painted Fingertips | The Digital Dozen Does Contrast - green with red flowers

HPB Presents: Halloween Pumpkin Nail Art

Hi everyone!

I just love the Halloween nail art I’ve created today – I hope you’ll enjoy it too! I’ve done this one for this month’s Hobby Polish Bloggers group nail art Halloween theme. Last October was our first Halloween in the US and carving a pumpkin was one of my favourite parts. It looked so cool with a candle burning inside! These pumpkins haven’t been carved yet, though. 31DC2016 Day 31: Honour Nails You Love – Landscape Nails

Hi everyone!

It’s the final day of the 31 Day Challenge! Can you believe it? I’m so glad that I’ve made it through this year’s challenge, and congratulations to everyone else who took part! The final theme is ‘honour nails you love’. I really enjoy this theme, because I love doing nail art inspired by others. There are so many fantastic nail bloggers, and when I see nails I love it’s hard not to recreate them. I often go to others when I’m in need of inspiration, too. If I can’t decide what to do on my nails, I’ll head to my Pinterest boards or catch up on my blog reading and see if it gives me any ideas. One of the nail artists who inspires me the most is Narmai of Piggieluv. She has incredible freehand nail art skills and comes up with the best, and often the craziest (in a good way!) ideas. So, it was only natural that I recreate one of her nail art looks for the final day of the challenge and I decided to go with some freehand landscape nails.

31DC2016 Day 30: Water Drops Inspired by a Tutorial

Hi everyone!

It’s the second last day of the 31 Day Challenge! I’ve actually already done my nails for tomorrow so I’m officially finished and these were the last nails I did. Today’s theme is inspired by a tutorial. You probably know by now that I enjoy recreating other nail art looks I love, but not everyone does tutorials. I had to search a little to find a tutorial that fit my freehand criteria for the challenge. In the end I picked a water drops tutorial by Starrynail. This is the second look by her I’ve recreated this challenge (the first was my Game of Thrones look) – she just does such amazing freehand art!
